Open Air Work Space

With the start of the new workweek and summer days heating up I thought it was due time to take the office outdoors. It can be a bit daunting to hunker down inside when the sun is shinning, so check out the following images to inspire your open-air office space.

I had to drag myself indoors today to finish up some pesky odds and ends of the work world. After playing all day in the sun, the last thing I wanted to do was go back to my depressing office. This summer I am making a pledge to do as much work as I can outdoors.

I started by collecting ideas for how to make the ultimate open-air office. So far I have come up with a few helpful hints. One, make sure to pick a spot with ample shade. Looking at a laptop in direct sunlight is never fun. Secondly, find the right chair with enough back support. Lawn chairs do not cut it when you have to get real work done. The next tip is that a power source is always a plus. You don't want a dead battery to hold you back. A half indoor and half outdoor office space is always a wonderful option because it allows you the best of both worlds. Finally, a glass of ice tea makes any workday better. Add a little mint and you might even feel like you are on vacation!
