Paint With Frozen Cubes To Beat The Heat

With temperature pushing past 110 in many parts of the country that don't usually see such heat, we've all been struggling to find ways to keep kids cool while still letting them be creative and have a little fun. This paint is sure to make a lasting impression — it's frozen!

Over at Hands On: As We Grow they've been keeping cool while making art along the way! Their idea is to mix a small amount of water with paint. Frozen in ice cube trays with craft sticks added, they make great paint brushes to go to town with.

There's sure to be some extreme clean up from this process, so we do suggest taking it outdoors and possibly in the grass. Canvas is inexpensive at craft stores, less than $5 these days and this is a fun project to take on and let them create their own modern wall art. Down the road you could even apply a stencil to it and turn it into something else, but for now, it's time for some frozen fun.

Check out all the tips and tricks over at Hands On: As We Grow.
