Flipping through Domino the other day, we came across an advertisement for Panasonic's Talking Phones. Talking Phones? Yeah, we too were wondering what this so-called "new" technology could be.

A quick trip over to their promotional site showed that these phones do indeed talk to you. They read you the name or number of who is calling, in that annoying robotic phone voice. We guess this could be useful, if you still had a landline or couldn't be bothered to get up and look to see who's calling. So 1996!

We thought this is why different ringtones were invented. We have ours set to quiet, idyllic ringtones for our more frequent callers, so that we won't be too disturbed when we're "too busy" to pick up the phone. (Sorry Dad!)

If we haven't talked you out of one of these phones yet, they are available here and are priced between $60-150.
