When your gadgets are running low on power, it's always nice to have a few different options. From trying to scrounge for a power outlet to popping in new batteries or a juice pack, there are many ways of getting more power. This table was recently showcased by Panasonic and it's completely wireless. It dispenses power from its solar panel to anyone who needs it.

This table was shown off by Panasonic at the Retail Tech Expo. The technology is still in the prototype phase, but it works pretty well. The solar-powered table will allow you to power up your gadgets via inductive charging. This means that there are no wires involved. You just place your gadget on the table's surface, and it starts to juice up. Panasonic demonstrated this with their new batteries.

While this might not seem necessary for homes, it's something that will get a lot of use in coffee shops and restaurants. You stop for a coffee and while you're getting some caffeine to power through the day, your gadget is getting a charge. It's definitely something that we hope to see around.

Solar-chargers aren't new, neither is inductive charging, but it's taken a while for the technology to be sufficiently efficient for everyday use. Typically, some solar-powered batteries took a long time to get enough juice for them to be useful. The Kodak Solar Charger is small enough to be practical while you're on the go.

If you're not afraid of trying to make your own solar charger, check out this build which includes a complete DIY solution to powering your gadgets. Solio also has quite a few models available that will suit most people's need.
