There is no greater feeling than reader “your package will arrive in 3 to 5 business days.” It is like buying yourself presents, without needing a reason! Online shopping is pretty addictive, but it is convenient. Does anyone really have the time to go to the mall and look for a dress to wear to a wedding? There’s more of a selection online anyway, so why not cut out the middleman? However, as easy as it is to purchase things online, waiting for your package can be a bit of a hassle.

We’ve gotten spoiled in 2018 thanks to Amazon Prime’s 2-day shipping option. Waiting anywhere from 3 to 10 days for other packages to come is practically torture. However, there is something worse. When your package doesn’t come on time. The whole reason we shop online is for the convenience, so it is pretty inconvenient for a package to arrive late. Especially if you bought that package, whether it be a dress, a present, or a homeware item you needed, and you expected it by a certain date.

Thanks to Paribus, you can now get your money back if you package shows up late! You might have heard of Paribus. You can download the app for your smartphone, or log in from your computer. Previously, Paribus was meant to monitor price drops on items you’ve purchased, but now they’ve added delivery monitoring services as well. If you use Paribus to purchase something and the price drops, you will be refunded the difference. How awesome is that? It saves the day when that $100 faux leather jacket you were dying to buy goes on sale for 30% off… two days after you buy it.

Now, how the late package monitoring works is pretty simple. If your package was guaranteed to be delivered on the 30th, but it doesn’t show up until the 2nd, you’re due for compensation. Paribus says, “We track your shipments from select online retailers like Amazon to get you compensated for late deliveries.”

In Paribus’s example, for a cast iron skillet from Amazon that arrives two days late, the customer would be issued a $10 refund. That is a steal!

Paribus monitors 25+ online retailers like Walmart, Amazon, Target, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Gap, and more. The refund you get will depend on the store’s shipping policy. Amazon tends to have a pretty excellent return and refund policy, so we can expect they might be one of the places you can count on getting the most bang for your buck if your package comes late.

At Amazon, according to their policy, if your package arrives late, you’ll be refunded the shipping cost. With Paribus, now Amazon shoppers can be eligible for a free month of Amazon Prime, a refund, or store credit. Not every retailer has a late package policy that you can easily find online, so Paribus does the heavy lifting for you when your package arrives late in these instances.

You don’t need to spend money to use Paribus either. It is free to sign up! Once you sign up, Paribus will scan your email to find any online shopping receipts from the stores that the program monitors. Don’t worry, they’re not going to sell your information to any third parties, so don’t expect to get emails about other offers. Paribus also monitors price drops on hotel rooms, so if you book a room for January and there’s a price drop, you’re going to get your money back.
