Personalize Your Android with a Custom Splash Screen

Every time you turn on your phone you see the same graphic over and over again. If you have an Android device, we are going to show you how to quickly easily change that splash screen to a custom image. Now every time you start up your device you will see your own personalized splash screen image.

What you need:

  • Android Phone
  • Windows Computer
  • USB Cable to connect phone to computer

Before you begin, be sure to download and extract the splash screen creator files by clicking here. Then place the file you want to use as your splash screen in the same folder that you extracted the zip files into. Also be sure that the image resolution is the same as your device and that the file is saved as a bitmap (.bmp). Now rename the file to "SPLASH.BMP" and connect your Android device to your computer and we are ready to get started.

  1. Using the files downloaded earlier, click "RUN THIS ONE.bat" (seems obvious doesn't it).
  2. In the window that pops up, enter "1".
  3. Your image has now been converted to a splash screen image. Now press 1 to send the splash screen image to your device. It is important to remember not to use or disconnect your device during this time. Since you are flashing this new image to the memory, disconnecting may cause problems in restarting your device later.

Once your device is finished you are now done. Being able to customize every aspect of your device, including the flash screen, is what can make your Android device stand out from the crowed. With this easy three step process, you might find yourself changing splash screens daily. Have fun and be sure to let us know if you come up with any amazing customized screens.
