Pier One for Rugs?

Maybe. We were tipped off that Pier One Imports wasn’t a bad place to look for rugs and we were surprised. Never having considered Pier One to be a good rug destination, we took a look.

While definitely not trendy, we were impressed with the price (as in low) and the quality of the rugs on offer. With nothing over $800, most rugs around $100, and good Tibetan wool construction in some, we would look here for small, practical hall rugs and runners, but not think to find a showpiece. Locations are UES, Grammercy & Midtown (see below). MGR
