Pillow Talk: Messages on Pillows

The other day I was walking down the street and saw a pillow in the window that said 'ooh la la' and I giggled at the notion that the pillow was flirting with me. I became fascinated with the thought that our pillows could send little messages, reminders, or sweet nothings to our subconscious throughout the day, and my search for pillow talk began.

I love having lots of pillows around; they can add that hint of color or pattern that really brings a room together. They are also an easy and inexpensive way to give the room a little change of pace. Mixing and matching is always fun, so why not throw a pillow with a message into the bunch. There are lots of great pillows with text out there. I found text pillows that are silkscreened, embroidered, and ones that have hand cut letters individually stitched on. There are even fun customizable postcard pillows to send to a friend or loved one.

These pillows can be an eye catching conversation piece or just fun and whimsical. You could gear them towards messages and reminders for yourself like "call your mother" or subtle hints to your guests.
