This Pink Holiday House in the Azores Is Travel Goals
Here’s one eye-catching rental that you couldn’t miss even if you tried. Italian/Portuguese firm Mezzo Atelier designed a dazzling pink holiday rental on the island of São Miguel in the Azores, and we’re eager to join the visitor’s list.
We already count pink as one of those rug colors that will work practically everywhere, but as it turns out, the vibrant hue also does wonders for a home’s exterior.
A century-old barn building-turned rental, the fittingly named Pink House is surrounded by a stone wall and features several large windows and glass doors. The home’s ground level contains two double bed suites, and features concrete flooring. The upper level boasts an open floor plan comprised of a living room, a kitchen, dining area and terrace that offers more lounging and dining space and spectacular garden views. Light wood flooring accentuates the space and enhances it open, airy feel. Exposed ceiling beams, custom-made furniture designed by local artisans and Mezzo Atelier and subtle Azorean-inspired architectural accents all come together beautifully to give the home a fresh, modern touch.
The main home accommodates five people with two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen; an accompanying guest house has one bedroom and can be rented separately. Additional features include Wi-Fi access, kitchen and bath amenities, laundry facilities, private parking and daily housekeeping services. The Pink House sits on five acres of land, leaving plenty of room for visitors to enjoy the property’s sunken fire pit, swimming pool, surrounding gardens and orchards. To top it off, this gorgeous island retreat is only a 10-minute walk away from the beach.
The Pink House is available for rent for approximately $237 a night and requires a minimum stay of three nights. For more info on rates, availability and more, check out Boutique Homes.
