Mel‘s home might look ordinary on the outside, but it’s nearly all pink on the inside! “I love vintage, 1950s, kitsch, and atomic decor,” begins Mel, who runs Vinnieboyvintage and who shares this three-bedroom house in Australia with her husband, her two children (10 and 8), and their miniature dachshund, Penny.

“I have always had a love for old things and am always creating or thinking of something. I use my home for photos for my Etsy stall products,” she describes. The couple has owned the house for 10 years, and in that time they’ve fully renovated it into this “pink kitsch retro vintage pink” style home.

Her very favorite room, though? The pink mermaid-themed bathroom that features a black-and-white checkered floor, pink-tiled walls, pink curtains, pink sinks, and lots of pink accessories.

“I buy a lot of vintage items from Facebook Marketplace; the last purchase was a pair of pink pearly eyelash kittens,” she explains of her favorite place to shop: online marketplaces. “You never know what you will find!”
