The hits keep coming from P'kolino who debuted more from their spring line at February's Toy Fair (see their new art-related products). Their spring 2010 offerings include some great, colorful toys for toddlers.
Owls have been a decor trend in nurseries and kids' rooms for a few years now and we're starting to see them more and more in new toys. These wood owls nest in each other to help develop spatial reasoning and also rock back and forth for fun.
The Plump Stacker appeals to us because it's made of both wood and thick felt for a textural change-up. There are 14 pieces in all for loads of stacking possibilities to create new shapes.
They also have two all-wood Puzzle Stackers (in mini and full sizes) which can be used for young learners as a simple stacker or arranged in any order as each puzzle piece interlocks with the others.
Perhaps our favorite are two wood puzzles ("Multi-Solution Shape Puzzles") - a bug featuring curved and round shapes and a robot with primarily squares and rectangles.
The above toys are recommended for kids 18 months and older.
Along with new toddler bedding and a few baby toys, these will be available in May, but you can already pre-order them at P'kolino.
