These stunning playhouses were made for a gallery exhibit, but we see no reason not to draw DIY inspiration from them. Each of the nine houses in this collection were inspired by the idea of using kids' blanket forts to recreate a vast range of dwellings "from the hut to futuristic architecture via the Mongolian yurt and the modernistic avant-garde".
Made using industrial-grade felt, the Plaid Houses exhibit was created for exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in Luxembourg. For information about the exhibit (which is now over, unfortunately), as well as more photos, visit Tixier's website.
