PlantTherapy: AT Plant Roundup

Apr 19, 2008

This week across AT there were suggestions on indoor/outdoor chairs, vines on ceilings, a simple and beautiful bud vase, a crazy front yard plant, turning your lawn into something edible, and a high-tech sprinkler run by computer...

AT Chicago, featured above, had a post on great indoor/outdoor chairs listed by price range - great as the season warms up!

Re-nest covers a book that covers the 'attack' on front lawns. It sounds like more people like the idea than may be against it, and there are many benefits to losing the grass and gaining a garden.

This gadget featured on Unpluggd goes beyond just being a timer. The Cyber-Rain XCI even checks weather reports for rain - if only it could put my umbrella by the door as well!
These precious bottles by Alyssa Ettinger, first spotted at Design Sponge, would be perfect for a few stems.

ATSF also featured this 'Ceilingpaper' by Lisa Bengtsson, making it look as if vines and birds are making their way over your walls and into your house.

And out West, yes ATSF again showing that the sun truly shines brighter and hotter there than here in NYC with this crazy front yard plant, Echium pininana.
