Spring Garden Events
Spring has sprung and what better way to get in the mood than to attend one of the many garden events happening around the Baltimore. From plant sales and markets, to classes on rain barrel construction and stoop gardening, there’s something for everyone.

Often cited as the most famous tulip garden in North America, Sherwood Gardens is over six acres in size and planted annually with over 80,000 tulip bulbs along with other spring flowering bulbs. Peak blooming time is at its best toward the end of April and beginning of May. There is no admission charge and reservation is not required.

Urban Agriculture Gala
This event will enable those intrigued by the “growing” movement to become more involved; connect and offer resources to those already involved; and make a statement about the inspiring and practical effects that growing food locally can have on individuals, families, communities, and the state of our planet at large. $5 donation requested.

The Baltimore Urban Gardening with Students (BUGS) is an after-school program for urban elementary school kids. This event is run by the kids and offers hundreds of vegetable, flower and herb seedlings; student made jewelry, paintings, ceramics; and homemade dressings and salsa.
