Plywood Working for Everybody

Our husband has been woodworking, as a hobby, for almost a year now and while we are certainly reaping the benefits of his new love (a table, several frames, toys for the kid) what we've really gone gaga for is his book Plywood Working for Everybody.

Written by John G Shea, Plywood Working for Everybody is a great source for DIY-projects that would make any mid-century enthusiast drool. Featuring photographs that jump straight out of a Mad Men set, the projects range from simple to complex...

What exactly a "skidaround" is, we're not sure -- but if we want to make one, we have the instructions.

Are you in love with Don and Betty's bed? Create your own interpretation with Shea's instructions for making a plywood headboard.

What's more lovely? The table or the lamp? We can't decide either.

The music bench is perfect for vinyl diehards, and as a fellow vinyl lover, this may be on our DIY list.

Other gems include the built-in bed wall and storage headboard.

If you're a fan of Shea's work, (as apparently Gregory on AT:LA is) several of his books can be found on Amazon.
