Portable Dehumidifying AC

It’s anything but AC weather where we are this week but it might be time to start saving towards a new AC: the Portable Dehumidifying Air Conditioner from Hammacher Schlemmer. Many portable ACs are called swamp coolers because of the lack of dehumidifying action…this one integrates both.

This AC moves up 60 pints of water from the air to a sink, drain, or a basement window, uses a hose to pull in fresh air from the outside–

–and includes a 3M electrostatic filter that only needs to be changed once a year. An LED shows current ambient temperature, and the 24 hour programmable timer and four operation modes ensure energy efficiency. Includes a remote control, window bracket, and carrying handles.

The Dehumidifying AC retails for $699.95, and takes 4-6 weeks to arrive.
