Spell Your Furniture: A Series of Alphabet Design

Letters are very special. There are only 26 letters in the English language, yet they hold infinite potential as they are the building blocks of words. So, as we all know, letters form words and words create language. But could letters, as special as they are, build something in addition to words. How about furniture?

Joel and Elmy thought letters could become pieces made to assemble into word furniture. So they took the alphabet, and built letters into a CHAIR, TABLE, and LAMP. Each piece is created by the letters of the word that is the object. So the letters C, H, A, I, and R, actually make a chair.

The design is brilliant and fun, and each piece brings the indispensable elements of language into furniture. Now words aren't just words.

The Alphabet series is not available everywhere, but you can order it online, and the design of the plywood letters allow for cheaper, flat-packed shipping.
