Product: Skullcandy Smoking Buds Ink'd Earbuds - Red
Price: $15
Recommendation: Strong Recommend

We saw the Skull Candy booth at CES but didn't really stop while we were out there. However, just after CES, I needed a new of in-ear headphones because the ear tips/gels of my Philips pair kept getting lost, so I stopped at my local Target to see what else they had. I only needed pair to use at my desk at work, and on the bus ride to and from work.

Looking for in-ear buds, I came across the Skull Candy line, and at only $15, I thought I'd give them a try.

Besides the fun color, the skull graphic on the end adds a dash of "street cred"--at first I was a bit nervous, I'm not a fan of horror movies, but I've come to look at it as an "edgy" touch in my corporate job, which is where they're used most often (besides the fact that they're so small it's an attitude, not something to be worried about).

The greatest feature to me is the fact that the ear gels, on the inside edge of the earbuds, DO NOT COME OFF. I was so frustrated by my Philips pair so easily loosing the gels and not being able to find a reasonably priced alternative, I'm thrilled that these don't require the obsessive attention the Philips pair did.

Also, the coating on the cord keeps the cord virtually tangle-free, even when I bunch it up and toss it in my bag, it's easy to undo any tangles--or loose the ear gels, either! (Can you feel my excitement about this fact radiating across the internet to you??)

As for the sound power and quality, it's definitely sufficient. For $15, it's really great. For all three of these reasons, I strongly recommend Skull Candy In-Ear Headphones.
