February is here, and with it comes a lot of things: the day of love, Punxsutawney Phil’s annual spring forecast (sorry, y’all, he’s predicting six more weeks of winter), and, of course, Presidents’ Day sales. One of the biggest sales events of the year, Presidents’ Day is a can’t-miss for deal hunters everywhere. But when is Presidents’ Day, when do the sales start, and what kind of deals can you expect to find? We answer all of your biggest questions (and share some early deals) below.

When Is Presidents’ Day 2024?

This year, Presidents’ Day is on Monday, February 17. While the specific date does change each year, the holiday always lands on the third Monday of February.

When Do Presidents’ Day Sales Start?

We may be two weeks out from the big day, but as you may have noticed, the deals are already starting to roll in! It is important to note, however, that the three-day holiday weekend (February 15–17) is when you can expect to find the best discounts — as well as special deals from your favorite retailers.

What to Buy During Presidents’ Day 2024

When it comes to Presidents’ Day, there’s one item that’s top of mind for most: mattresses. And it’s true! Presidents’ Day is one of the best times of the year to shop for a new mattress (Stay tuned to AT because we’ll be releasing our favorite deals closer to the event.) This being said, there’s much more to keep an eye out for, including bedding, furniture (it’s also one of the best times to score a sofa!), cookware, and tech.

They are an AT contributor favorite, with Stella noting that slipping into them "makes for a breathable sleep, one where I never wake up sweaty or shivering." As if that weren't enough, the sheets feel even more smooth and more comfortable the more you wash them, so it goes without saying that they'll become a permanent fixture atop your bed.

Innerspring mattresses may seem old-school, but Mark, our director of commerce, swears by this one for his back pain. Though we haven’t tried out this exact model, our contributor Stella tried out the D3 line’s sauté pan, which has become the most-used item in her kitchen. We’re sure the fry pan also has a “surface that heats evenly and steadily and is never a pain to clean.”

If you want a storage bed that's high-end, good quality, and incredibly practical, give the Dalton Storage Bed a try. The bed's drawers sit on the floor and magnetically attach to the frame, and while that might sound strange, it makes it super easy to move around.

One of the best things about Le Creuset’s Dutch ovens is how easily they go from the oven to the table, making them perfect for cooking and serving. The oval shape of this one is a nice twist on the classic round pot, perfect for big roasts, though honestly, you can’t go wrong with either.
