When we featured one of our readers' desks, photographer Jacky Mitrius, we were quite delighted by her Kelly Moore hobo bag, a purse that looks like a stylish hobo purse but has separate compartments inside for her DSLR. Along the way we've discovered other bags with a similar marriage of fashionanle form and function. If you're looking to transfer your camera out of the typical box-like camera bag, you can start with these five looks.

For those of us with point-and-shoot cameras, it's easier to take those along in any purse or pocket. Fortunately, more and more designers are making nice bags that you would never guess are camera bags too.

Posey Bag by Kelly Moore ($159): We loved Jacky's Kelly Moore B-Hobo bag, but Kelly Moore offers a wide range and one of our other favorites was the Posey. The bag can be carried in three different ways and will hold up to 10 credit cards or 12 flash cards along with your camera and lenses of course - all in one pretty package.

Circle Print Tote by Emera ($169): The Circle Print Tote is water resistant with a coated canvas exterior and soft leather straps. There are seven padded compartments to store all your camera necessities and delicate photo gear. There are also small metal feet and a compartment for a magazine or tablet, making it a good travel bag as well.

The Brooklyn by ONA ($309): This gorgeous leather satchel by ONA is the perfect bag to take along on an impromptu photo shoot with friends or a weekend getaway where you only need your camera and a few lenses. We like how there's a slit pocket perfect for holding a tablet and a front pocket for personal items. We wouldn't mind carrying this bag around to hold anything, not just our camera.

ONA also makes a camera + laptop bag for the gentleman who are interested.

Lyric by Epiphanie ($154.99): This bag perhaps most resembles a stylish leather purse than all the camera bags we've seen. It comes with a long strap and three Velcro panels that lets you adjust and move the compartments around to fit your needs. We love all the gorgeous colors this bag comes in.

Studio Camera Bag by Etupirka ($92): Exactly how this bag is named, this camera bag is perfect for Studio photographers designed big enough to hold a DSLR and 1 to 2 lenses, but small enough to take everywhere you go.
