Headboards are expensive and they're a rather solid commitment to make. Styles come and go and finding one you'll like for years can seem like an overwhelming task. Forget all the stress and just paint one instead! Then you can change it up or out as often as you like — here are a few ideas to get you started…

When you move around a great deal painting is something many renters are willing to tackle upon move out, especially if they only have to do one wall! Try one of these fun ideas as they're all doable and have superstar results without having to have the real thing. Here are a few ideas to get you thinking about what would look great in your space:

1. Extra Wide Solid Stripe: This white stripe extends past the bed and includes the space behind either nightstand. It makes the wall look larger than it is and is a great option for small spaces!

3. Floor To Ceiling: Want an extra tall headboard? Paint is hands down the least expensive way to go. This bold stripe goes vertically instead of horizontal and gives height to a room that isn't very large in size and helps it appear bigger than it really is.

4. Faux-Tufted Headboard: We double plus love the look of anything tufted, but on a real headboard in the bedroom, all those little tufts are just a good place for dust to collect.
