Irish fast fashion retailer Primark opened its first US store today in Boston's Downtown Crossing. We were there to take a peek at the location's home section, which is full of bargain finds, particularly perfect for Boston's many college students.
Located in the Beaux-Arts Burnham Building (formerly home to Filene's), Primark occupies four floors dedicated to men's, women's, and kids' fashion and accessories, as well as home decor, travel necessities, and beauty products.
The decor at the Boston location includes much in the way of bedding, throws, and pillows with prices starting at $9 for twin sheet sets and $5.50 for a fleece throw. Small kitchen and bath sections have accessories such as cutting boards, whisks, bath mats and towels. Organizational products like speech-bubble-shaped cork boards, chalkboard to-do lists, and multiple types of baskets and bins start under $10.
Primark's next US location opens at the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania on November 25.
