Don’t Buy These Items from Amazon on Prime Day, Because They’re Cheaper Elsewhere
The fifth annual Amazon Prime Day is officially here. The biggest sale of the summer kicked off in the wee hours of the morning at 12 am PT / 3 am ET, and it’s going to last until 11:59 pm PT / 2:59 am ET on July 16th. For 48 glorious hours, Prime members can score massive savings across every single Amazon category. Home deals, mattress deals, vacuum deals—you name it, and there’s a Prime Day deal for it. It’s basically Black Friday in July.
But Amazon isn’t the only retailer offering incredible deals right now. Many competing Prime Day sales have popped up, and some of them actually offer better deals and prices than Amazon. In fact, some of them started earlier and will last longer than Prime Day’s two-day period.
Don’t get us wrong; there are still plenty of great Prime Day finds out there. But if you have your eyes on these specific products, you might want to reconsider, because they’re actually cheaper elsewhere.
Walmart’s Prime Day Sale may be even bigger than Amazon’s. Case in point: The same model of this upright Dyson vacuum will cost you $229.99 on Amazon.
If you’ve been wanting to get a Nest thermostat, now is the time to add it to your cart. Amazon is already sold out, but you can still get it at Bed Bath & Beyond—and they’ll throw in a free Google Home Mini as well, which is a $49 value.
Amazon is running a couple sales on those famous DNA kits that will give you insight into both your health and ancestry. If 23andMe is the kit you want though, you should actually buy it on Walmart, where it’s priced at $20 less.
For many shoppers, Prime Day kitchen deals are the main event—but they don’t cover everything. Bed Bath & Beyond has slashed the price of this electric kettle to $19.99, beating Amazon’s $24.99 price tag.
No Prime Day would be complete without a sale on Keurig coffee makers, and Target came through. The exact same Keurig machine will cost you $89 on Amazon. Plus, if you’re a Target REDcard member, you’ll receive your usual extra 5% off on top of that.
Happy Prime Day shopping!
