Did you watch the royal wedding on May 19?
Even if you didn't, chances are, you know a lot of the big details of the day. HRH Prince Henry of Wales (AKA Prince Harry) married Meghan Markle in a magical ceremony. Millions of people around the globe tuned in to watch the royal wedding.
Prince Harry and Meghan put a lot of thought into every detail of their wedding. Meghan gifted her young bridesmaids monogrammed leather shoes to wear for the wedding day, but will also be the most cherished keepsake when they are older.
Harry proved he is literally the world's most romantic man, as he handpicked flowers the night before the wedding to give the florist for Meghan's bouquet. When he saw her at the altar, everyone watching witnessed as he told her "you look amazing, I'm so lucky." Honestly, why can't every man be like Prince Harry?
The couple had many touching tributes in their wedding, but none were quite as special as the ways they honored Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. Sadly, she passed away in 1997 and Harry and his older brother, Prince William, have grown up without her. However, the two sons have never forgotten their mother and Harry made sure to include her on his wedding day.
In St. George's Chapel, there was a seat left open meant for Diana. If that doesn't make you cry, then you might not have a heart!
Meghan then later wore Princess Diana's emerald cut aquamarine diamond ring to the wedding reception. It was reported that Princess Diana left her jewelry for her sons to split and give to their future wives.
One of the sweetest tributes came after the wedding day, when the royal wedding photos were released on Monday, May 21, 2018. Kensington Palace released the photos on Instagram and eagle-eyed fans spotted something that many missed.
The first photo was a snap of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, surrounded by their family members, like Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland. However, in the second photo shared, Prince Harry and Meghan are seated on an emerald green couch, surrounded by their bridesmaids and page boys.
The chair that they are seated on is the same chair that Princess Diana sat on in the royal photos from Harry's christening in 1984. How sweet is that?
