An Inside Look at St. George’s Chapel, Where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Getting Married

Located on the bucolic grounds of Windsor Castle, St. George’s Chapel is an iconic property that was founded over 500 years ago.

With a capacity of 800 guests, the setting is notably smaller than the 2000-seat Westminster Abbey, where Prince William wed Kate Middleton back in 2011. (According to PEOPLE, word is William actually did want to marry at St. George’s, however since it didn’t have a balcony for for newlywed kiss, the idea was shelved.) However, the venue is ideal for Harry and Meghan, who are hoping to keep a bit more of a low-key vibe to their big day. The ceremony will be officiated by the Dean of Windsor, the Right Reverend David Conner and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, according to Kensington Palace.

Prince Harry and Meghan won’t be the first royal couple to tie the knot on the historic estate, PEOPLE reports; notable royals ranging from Queen Victoria’s children to Harry’s own father Prince Charles and stepmother Camilla Parker Bowles have wed at the chapel. It’s also a prominent burial site for British monarchs like Henry VIII and King George III and IV. It will also serve as the eventual burial site for the Queen.

If you weren’t blessed with a spot on the royal family tree, you’re not completely hopeless: A few weeks ago, Kensington Palace announced that 2,600 lucky Brits will score the highly-coveted invites to the grounds of Windsor Castle to catch a glimpse of a portion of the wedding. There will be 1,200 folks from across the United Kingdom, 100 students from local schools, and another 200 who are affiliated with the charities and organizations close to Meghan and Harry’s hearts. Then there’s the 610 Windsor Castle and St. George’s Chapel community members, and 530 members of royalty and Crown Estate.
