Sure, it’s fun to do your own holiday cards, but there’s nothing like marveling at someone else’s design and photo choices. When it comes to the Royal family’s Christmas card, there’s that extra spark of magic upon seeing it—and this year’s selection is no exception.

On Dec. 16, the official Instagram account of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (@kensingtonroyal) shared the family’s 2020 Christmas card with the world. In the photo, Prince William and Kate Middleton are in the back, with all three of their beaming children—George to the left, Charlotte to the right, and Louis front and center—smiling for the camera.

“The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new image of their family, which features no their Christmas card this year,” the Instagram caption reads. The photographer, Matt Porteous, was also credited at the bottom of the post, who shared the photo on their own Instagram account.

“‘It was an honour to photograph The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family,’” Porteous said, who was quoted in his own caption. “‘Capturing the fun and relaxed moments between such a wonderful family is always a true privilege.’” Those two words, fun and relaxed, seem to hit the nail on the head. Just look at those smiles, especially the expression of Louis! Someone can easily get FOMO over this photo shoot, that’s for sure.

In the shot, the royal family is sitting on top of a bunch of haystacks, with a pile of chopped wood as their backdrop. By the look of their cozy but not-too-bundled outfits and happy faces, it doesn’t seem like it was cold during the photo shoot—and we all know how honest kids can be.

Last year, the royal family’s Christmas card featured the family with a motorbike and side car, and for their Christmas card in 2018, they all posed around a large tree. From what we can gather, the overarching card themes are being in an outdoor setting and looking as jolly as ever.

Now all we have to do is find out how to get on their personal mailing list… but for now, social media will have to do.
