Five Below is the ultimate place for fun and affordable gifts for kids and tweens. It’s my go-to store for buying party favors and inexpensive kids’ birthday gifts, and filling holiday baskets. While it can be fun to treasure hunt at Five Below, as a professional organizer I encourage people to be mindful of unnecessary purchases. However, some fabulous and unexpected finds at Five Below are worth highlighting — like a few I discovered in the home section, all costing $23.10 before taxes.

This jumbo laundry hamper is wide and tall enough to store many items around the home besides just laundry. I love using a hamper to store wrapping paper or large bulk paper for crafts. It would also be helpful to store blankets or extra bedding items on the floor if a closet was tight on shelving space. Need to wrangle balls in the backyard now that the weather is getting nicer? An inexpensive laundry hamper could do the trick. Available in three colors at $5.55. Need a slimmer option? Check out this hamper from Target.

I recommend using clear bins when possible for toy storage, as it's easy for kids to see and put away their toys. These collapsible fabric bins I spotted at Five Below blend style and visibility with a clear window and easy-to-grab handle. They are perfect for the Target 11-inch cube organizer and come in three colors. At just $5.55 for two bins, it's quite the bargain! If you want more color options, consider these similar mDesign bins available on Amazon.

I recently got a puppy, so I was excited to find this rolling pet food storage container at Five Below for $12. It’s more affordable than similar products I've seen and holds up to 20 pounds of dog food. The snap lid keeps my dog's food fresh, and the rolling casters allow easy mobility and storage near his bowl. Are you looking for a larger pet food storage container? This 35-pound pet food storage container is available at Target.
