, these Soap Objekts
display a more amusing statement than your bronze bust might. Altering the status subject of busts, these are made from simple soap and combine characteristics of all walks of life. By Swiss designer Marlies Pekarek, we spotted them on decor8
, and took a moment to investigate some of the surprising and sometimes bizarre detail. From the Tropfnass site:
Soaps are sober things, the mundane objects of the everyday. Not so, the "Communicators". Exhibited in rank and file, they are a parade of idiosyncracies. Whimsical beauties and demure wallflowers, pompous big-wigs and hangdog scoundrels. In the blink of an eye, soap has become something quirky and ironic.
