Quick & Easy Drink Tray DIY

Mixing up a few great drinks to be enjoyed out back this summer is all part of the fun, but transporting them from your kitchen to their destination can be a bit of a balancing act. There are tons of great drink and serving trays out right now, but they all have one thing in common — they're super slick!

This simple project can Sunset magazine, but the idea is fairly easy to handle. Using adhesive backed cork (found at your local hardware or craft store), cut a piece to size that fits the interior of your tray.

While you're at it, cut a few small circles to use as feet pads, helping to keep it from scratching or sliding around on your table top. If you're not into the color of the cork, it can be dyed with liquid water colors (also found at the craft stores near you). The end result will be whatever hue you choose, but will still retain it's grip-tight properties, keeping your beverages upright until you reach the pool!
