Quick Tip: Easy Metal Furniture Maintenance

I've always had a soft spot for metal outdoor furniture. It stands the test of time and is rather classic in its look and feel. You might be a fan of vintage pieces like the one ot the left, or more modern straight lines that grace the pages of catalogs and magazines.

Even though this durable surface can take a beating, even powder coated pieces can need a little help with upkeep and looking great. Did you know you can give them a hand with a common automotive product?

Just take a walk down to your local automotive parts store (or check out the auto aisle in Target or Walmart) and pick up a tub of carnauba paste wax.

The idea is simple: apply, let dry and buff off. It's the perfect remedy to keep the elements off and the smooth painted surface looking great for decades to come. It's an inexpensive way to ensure that you won't be needing to repaint it any time soon!
