Perhaps you've been inspired by these lovely yarn balls or the appeal of round paper lanterns and you're also itching to do a DIY project. Well, the String Theory pendant we found at ReadyMade may be just the thing for you. Not only is it gorgeous, it also seems quite easy to make. If you can make a piñata, you can probably make the String Theory pendant lamp.
To make your own String Theory pendant lamp, you'll need:
- Round balloon
- Crochet thread
- Fabric stiffener (ReadyMade used Stiffy)
- Hanging lamp cord and socket
- Light Bulbs
- Ceiling Hook
- Takeout container lid (optional)
You begin by wrapping the thread around an inflated balloon and adding the fabric stiffner. Once it has dried overnight, pop the balloon and add the hardware. Sounds easy enough! We'll be brave and try one this weekend.
