Record Album Cover Hooks

There are a great many ways to reuse old records, but how about their cardboard covers? This idea inspired by the Bachman's Fall Idea House is perfect for a music aficionado's room or office. It's just a simple DIY project.

Gather together old cardboard record albums with fun titles and great pictures first. You can find these at Goodwill, garage sales, and music stores. Then grab a hook that matches your decor and is sturdy enough to hold the appropriate amount of weight dependent on what you are hanging. You can either cut out a part in the record cover, or you can get a drill and drill through the record cover directly into the wall. Make sure you check the location of support beams before drilling.

It may be difficult to get both sides even, so an alternate option is to line up the hook and pre-drill the wall holes. Then carefully use a scissors, the drill, or a pen to puncture the album cover at the appropriate places to line it up with the nail holes.
