Ditch the Red & Green: Holiday Cheer in Other Colors

When it comes to decorating for this holiday season, there are two colors that tend to dominate above all: red and green. They instantly yell “holiday cheer time!” But if you’re not into these two colors or you just want to reflect a more inclusive holiday feel, we’ve got the holiday cheer that uses plenty of the other colors.

We’ve rounded up our favorite inspiring holiday shots that don’t involve the color red or green (or if they do, in way small quantities and overpowered by some other shade). If you haven’t yet had time to finish (or start) decorating for the holidays, you could find some inspiration for items you might already have in your home or for a few new things to add in. Or, alternatively, if you’re prepping for guests to arrive but worried they may not be able to see past all the red and green decor, feel free to scale back on the two-toned color monopoly but keep the cheer by adding in some of these non red and green color ideas:

Top Row:
1) Fuschia + pastels: Deck the (Front) Hall: Holiday Decor for the Entryway
2) White + aqua + hints of metallic: Desire to Inspire
3) Lavender toile: The Calming Holiday Table
