Rent or Buy? Mortgage Rates Stand Still at 5.66%

Rent. Mortgage rates have come to a standstill, dropping just a touch as the election takes place today. It almost feels as if everyone is waiting to see what will happen before they make the next round of decisions.

Renting still looks good, when you think about the huge monthly payments buying an apartment right now entails, especially in the face of an uncertain economy.

Our friend, Dante, just found a 2 bedroom in the West Village for $1,400 a month, which will save her $400 per month from her current rental. Rental bargains are easier to find than sales bargains. (Via Bankrate) MGR
