Replace Your Mini Tripod With a Bean Bag

Replace Your Mini Tripod With a Bean Bag

We love using our tiny tripod to set up various shots. These little guys especially come in handy when shooting How Tos and help us to get exactly the shots we need. Always on the lookout for other helpful solutions, we were tickled pink when we saw this petite bean bag and knew another sewing project was in order.

Instead of buying a camera bean bag, Instructables user Motadacruz decided to make their own.

This DIY project is really quite quite simple and requires very few parts and tools to make.To make this camera bean bag you will need, two pieces of fabric about 8 inches x 12 inches, thread, beans (or dried green peas), scissors, and a needle (or a sewing machine). Motadacruz used dried green peas since they are round which make them easier to get a good form for your camera.

The camera bean bag is a great solution for when you need the camera propped in a certain direction, but not very far from a surface. We love the frugal aspect of this DIY and it causes us to look twice at dried green peas.
