While I'm completely devoted to my Google reader for staying current and keeping up with my favorite blogs, when I'm looking for inspiration I usually pick up a magazine.
Paying newsstand prices can add up so I recently started looking into alternatives for inexpensive subscriptions. While my search turned up a lot of questionable discount websites I also found a couple of great unexpected resources.

1. Amazon does magazines! You can find them listed under the book department of the mega retailer. They're well organized with a broad selection, have steep discounts and a section devoted to under $10.

2. Overstock also sells subscriptions. You can pick up a subscription to Dwell or Elle Décor for around $8.50.

3. MagsforMiles lets you trade your airline miles for magazine subscriptions. If you're a frequent traveler you might think about using those extra miles to score some reading material for the plane.

What are your favorite resources?
