If you're looking for a unique iPad dock that you can make yourself, look no further because this Macintosh Classic dock/stand really sets itself apart. A modder used an old Mac as a stand for his new iPad.

If the iBook Dock was a bit too much for you, then maybe the Macintosh Classic stand/dock will work for you. This cute little stand was cobbled together using an old Macintosh computer.

This goes to show that you can easily recycle and reuse old tech. A lot of people still have these around. Naturally, they are accumulating dust somewhere in the attic, cellar, or basement. This is a great idea to get some more use out of old tech. This mod also originates from Japan (translated page here). It's been dubbed the Macintosh iPad Stand.

The case of a Macintosh Classic was used and it seems to fit the iPad perfectly. The only drawback is that the iPad's home button is covered. That's a bit annoying, but ultimately, it really looks good. We're sure that other types of computers might be able to hold the iPad, but using a Macintosh is sort of a tribute. The design is pretty iconic, so it will still look cool on your desk.
