It’s getting freezing outside, and it’s only mid November, which means we still have at least three and a half more months of bone-chilling weather to get through. But before you start looking for tickets to tropical destinations, hold on—we may have found an easy (and wallet-friendly) solution for staying warm through all the snowstorms and temperature dips: Amazon’s popular MaxKare Electric Blanket.

The ruby-colored blanket, which sells for $59.99, is reversible (choose between the plush flannel side or fluffy sherpa!), has three heat settings, an extra-long cord, a four-hour run-time, and it’s even machine washable. And judging by the 546 reviews, customers can’t stop raving about it.

“This throw is perfect for those chilly days of fall. It is so soft and plush, keeps you warm and helps save on electric living in a big house,” said one reviewer. Another customer echoed the sentiment that it’s a money saver. “It’s perfect for keeping me warm in the early mornings and at night from the cold. It saves on my heating bill also because I don’t need to turn on the heater.”

While the cozy blanket is great to keep on hand on your sofa or in your bedroom, it also makes a great gift, as one reviewer discovered after giving it to a family member.

“I gave this to my mother in law for Christmas as she’s always cold. She loved it!” said the reviewer. “She can sit in her chair by the window all snuggled up! It is the size of a throw, so it’s nice to have while watching TV. Not too hot but perfect for her.”

It’s also perfect if you share a bed with someone who prefers the room to be cold at bedtime, as one customer noted. “This blanket literally saved my marriage. lol. my husband likes to sleep in freezing conditions which makes me not able to sleep and on top of that he has the fan blowing but this heating blanket keeps you nice and toasty and covers me up from the ice-cold wind I love my blanket.”

The only downside? You may find yourself fighting over who gets to use the blanket.

“My 6 cats immediately claimed ownership,” said a reviewer. “If they had opposable thumbs they would have figured out the control too!”

Consider yourself warned.
