Rifle Paper Co. Just Launched a Gorgeous Collection of Pillows and Rugs
Fans of Rifle Paper Co. are already well-acquainted with Anna Bond’s gorgeous illustrations and for good reason. She has a way of creating images that are at once high-style and lighthearted, from her iconic florals to her travel-inspired prints. In short, they just make you smile.
And while the brand is best known for things like greeting cards, stationery, calendars, and wall art, that’s all about to change. As of October 29, Rifle Paper Co.’s collection of rugs and pillows in collaboration with Loloi Rugs is officially here. Unsurprisingly, it’s chock-full of gorgeous pieces, and the whole launch has been a passion project for Bond.
“It’s a very personal collection and I am so proud of it,” she told Apartment Therapy. “I grew up going to my Armenian grandmother’s house and she had beautiful Persian carpets in every room (some even hanging as tapestries) and I have many memories studying the colors and patterns of each one.”
And now that the Rifle Paper Co. rugs and pillows are here, it’s clear those hours Bond spent studying her grandmother’s rug collection paid off. Each item is beautiful, thoughtful, and livable, and there’s a sense of cohesion throughout the entire line.
The rugs are currently divided into three specific collections. There’s the Palais collection, which marries Rifle Paper Co.’s love of florals with traditional rug styles. There’s the Les Fleurs collection, which looks the most quintessentially Rifle Paper Co. of the three. And finally, there’s the Nairi collection, which relies heavily on neutral shades and traditional motifs.
“We wanted to showcase the vibrant florals you would expect from our brand, but also more neutral palettes that could be versatile and fit in any home,” Bond said. “Throughout the collection we tried to find a balance and make sure we hit a spectrum of color palettes and moods.”
Beyond creating a collection that customers would want to decorate with, Bond also wanted to make pieces that would bring a sense of happiness and whimsy to their homes.
“I hope people find [the line] refreshing, different, and fun. Many people I spoke to at the debut [at High Point Market] mentioned that the designs made them happy and that is probably the best compliment I could ask for,” she said. “I hope the designs bring a bit of joy and playfulness into people’s homes.”
And while I can’t speak for everyone’s response, I will say that while writing this story, I had a smile on my face the whole time. Check out a few of our favorite pieces below, and see all the rugs and pillows here.
