The lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. Where a lush expansive finely manicured green lawn is a beautiful and inviting part of summer days and nights, a place to play croquet, have a picnic or just loll around. But keeping it mowed? Not so much. What if you could mow the lawn and read the paper at the same time or, even hit that barbeque down the street? We have seen the future and it is Robomow...

A Roomba for the lawn, it mows the grass quickly and evenly, while skirting around trees, rocks and other obstacles, before returning to its base station. Almost as importantly, it mulches the grass, eliminating the need for collecting and discarding clippings; the finely chopped trimmings decompose quickly, returning valuable nutrients to the soil, a kind of composting on the go. Environmentally sound, it uses no gas or oil, plus it's relatively quiet. Available through Amazon .
