This Celebrity-Loved Artist Has Released a Colorful Collection of Gumball Sculptures

Artist Robyn Blair Davidson is known for her bright and eclectic designs that allow for a playful pop of color in any space, and now the celebrity-approved creative has taken her work to new heights with her limited-edition gumball sculptures.

The Gum Drop collection, described as a range that transforms cherished childhood memories into collectible works of art, contains six bright and bold glass sculptures which evoke the silhouette of a classic gumball machine, filled to the brim with subtly varied monochromatic gumballs.

“Available now!! I’m ecstatic to introduce my first sculpture collection. Inspired by childhood memories, I’ve designed a series of Gumball Machine Sculptures. This limited run comes in six vibrant colors,” Davidson wrote in an Instagram post announcing the collection, which launched on Dec. 9. “Thank you for being a part of my work. I’m so grateful to be surrounded by people who support my art, and who want to see more color and optimism in the world. All my best, Robyn,”.

The sculptures can be bought separately for $1,200, or as a full collection for a discounted price of $6,500. Each vividly colored piece is emblazoned with by robynblair’s signature “In Case of Emergency” typography, which is featured on a wide range of Davidson’s other art and merchandise, including the eye-catching made-to-order wall art and fun jigsaw puzzles.

Davidson’s super sweet artwork has gained an impressive following, with her unique candy-themed pieces proving popular among celebrities such as Emma Roberts, Sophie Turner, and Joe Jonas. She has also gone on to work on several big-name collaborations with the likes of Baby Noomie, Bergdorf Goodman, Sant Ambreuos, and Cosmopolitan magazine. And, true to her style, Davidson showed off her whimsical TriBeCa apartment in a 2020 Apartment Therapy tour.

Serving as her gallery space and her chill-out living area, Davidson’s New York City abode was co-designed alongside Cara Woodhouse to achieve the perfect balance of cozy and colorful.

“I wanted the communal space to feel comfortable for watching a movie and hanging out, but still polished for when I bring in clients to work on a custom piece of art,” Davidson told Apartment Therapy in a 2020 interview. “Cara’s eye for clean design helped make it so the bedroom is completely calming, while the living room is bright and airy to help me feel inspired, and the office is crazy and colorful to help me work.”
