Contrary to popular belief, skateboarding isn't just for kids. Hanging skateboards on the wall is a pretty popular way to display a collection and admiration for the sport, but skateboards are making their way into the tech world. Not in the way of the Hoverboard, more like iPhone cases and lighting.

SlickWraps Board Series Black Grip Tape, $20.00 is an interesting take on skateboard design. The front cover mimics the wood grain from a skateboard deck and the back is made from grip tape. While this is certainly silly, the grip tape could actually come in handy. It seems as though we drop our phone several times a day.

Skateboard Fan from Alexandre da Cunha may not currently be for sale, but we see huge DIY potential. If you know skateboards you know that they cherish their beaten up skateboards like war wounds. Put some of those to use and make this fan!

Light Your Skateboard Mount, $79.00 provides an interesting way to display skateboards. We have several skateboards hanging on the wall in our home and these would take them to the next level.
