Room Dividers from Buzzispace

These felt room dividers have a certain simplicity and elegance that makes them both a great high-end design and an inspiring template for a DIY project. Created by UK-based Buzzispace, the "Buzziscreen" and "Buzzizone" dividers are made from a core of biodegradable board material covered in felt, with panels attached together by that brilliant invention—the zipper!

It's such a simple design—cardboard covered in felt—that it seems dangerously DIYable (meaning we'd think it would be easy but getting the right look would assuredly turn out to be harder than we thought). Still, our DIY archives are full of felt projects (like this one and these) that would provide a good jumping off point.

If you'd rather skip the difficult work and just buy one, these British screens are sold in the US through d'apostrophe in New York, but they're not cheap. Prepare to pay around $1,500 to $1,800 for this smartly designed system.
