The Cube Sai Air Refreshener is technically a car accessory, thus the nod to the iconic fuzzy dice, but with its décor friendly colours and mild odour, its easily appropriated for home use (I find Japanese air fresheners to be less invasive than most American brands). But if you fancy the small army of kawaii-shaped Kobayashi brand air fresheners, you'll have to make your way to Mitsuwa...the little fellas don't seem to be available domestically except thru the Japanese retailer.
Although freshly cut flowers or aromatic cooking in the kitchen are always my preferred means to a pleasant smelling home, sometimes a little fragrant help from a room freshener is an easy solution to brighten the interior bouquet. The good folks at Method have introduced the karim rashid designed Aroma Capsule, a minimal chic solution which I admit to purchasing solely because I found its form irresistible on first glance. It's almost a bonus that the grapefruit-pear scent is fragrantly agreeable, and the 3-setting mini fan activates in intervals to release the eucalyptus + mint, cool water, grapefruit + pear, lavender + lemongrass, sweet water, or vanilla + apple nose-friendly concoctions.
On a related note, how about these two Japanese brand air fresheners I spied at Little Tokyo grocery, Mitsuwa Marketplace this weekend:
