Roundup: Cabinet of Curiosities

In honor of one of our favorite types of collections--strange, wonderful and odd tchotchkes--we have created a roundup of little treasures for building your own cabinet of curiosities...

These teeth in a vial (don't worry--they're ceramic!) are a perfect start to a strange collection, from Mudpuppy on Etsy.

MBDixson offers these displays featuring small animal skulls (we know some will disapprove, but they're pretty key in a traditional cabinet of curiosities).

Debsatticfinds has this 1941 ceramic horse, which we find to be a great addition to these other odds and ends.

Bones. Bones make perfect additions, and duneempress has them.

We love this golden centipede, for a cabinet or otherwise. LoreleiSF has this and tons of other gorgeous stuff that we want!

Fossil coral always adds a nice touch. Great texture and a slight element of organic creepiness...from ANaturalSelection.

We love vintage photos, postcards, and images. We think this would make a great backdrop to a strange collection. From DHMStuff.

EvolvEproductions sells little vials full of gold flakes. Cute container: check. Interesting contents: check. Small and able to be added to a collection of other tiny things: check.
