We love cooking and when we are finally homeowners, we plan on being very selective about what type of stove we have. There are so many stoves and ranges to choose from and not it's not always the simplest of tasks to select the perfect one for you. Stoves and ranges are a great example of how form can meet function harmoniously.

Whether you're looking for a pellet stove, a cooking stove or a range &mdash it can be a bit overwhelming (and there's plenty more info at our cooking site, The Kitchn, about these large kitchen appliances). Sometimes it's nice to just take a step back and enjoy them for their form and beauty.

We've rounded up our eight favorite stoves and ranges:

Top Row
&bull 1. Hi-Fi Stove? Oh No Wait, That's Hi-Fire Stove
&bull 2. Incredible Piet Indoor Stove Will Enable New Layouts
&bull 3. Cascina Stoves: Modern Burners, Vintage Housing
&bull 4. Caso's Portable Induction Plate Lets You Cook Anywhere
&bull 5. Bertazzoni Dual Fuel Range: Stylish and Efficient

Bottom Row

&bull 7. The Falmec Butterfly Range Is As Beautiful As it Sounds
