There's definitely something nice about having small appliances of good quality. These ones from the Russell Hobbs Allure Collection are certainly distinctive, since it looks like they are mostly made out of glass and stainless steel. Most people will have their small appliances for a long time, which means that buying some that are stylish and well-made makes sense.

These small appliances from Russell Hobbs are part of the Allure collection. There's a compact shredder that has a sort of bulbous shape. There's a salt and pepper grinder, the Allure Twist 'N' Shake, that will start grinding once you tilt it in a direction. It remains inactive while its horizontal. The hand mixer has a blue backlit display and comes in a black and brushed stainless steel finish. The blender also looks interesting. It comes with blue backlighting on the display. The prices for these small appliances from Russell Hobbs varies from $70 to $160.

The Robust Collection from Philips' looks differ from the Allure Collection, and for some reason, they have a more masculine feel to them. Maybe that's why we like them, but there's something to the bold metallic colors coupled with the minimal buttons.

Another one of our favorite small appliance makers is Breville. These appliances have an all-stainless steel look, which can also be appealing. The Breville Barista Express Espresso Maker is certainly a handsome and efficient coffee machine.

All in all, you should select small appliances that will work in a number of different decors and ones that will last you a long time. We haven't updated our small appliances in a few years and are looking for interesting new additions for our kitchen. The collections mentioned above give some interesting choices.
