Rustic Inspiration from Fjällpuben

Before we can totally write off hunting lodge chic as a trend of the past, we couldn't help admiring the interior of this restaurant in Europe called Fjällpuben. It's an interesting combination of rustic style meets warm textiles with a nod to antique wooden utensils and cross-stitch. Sounds crazy, right? It sort of reminds us of those old-timey jigsaw puzzles with images made from funny doll furniture. Anyway, there's a lot of interesting ideas happening in this space that could be used on a smaller scale in a home, so check out a few photos after the jump...

A simple hurricane lamp is the centerpiece for all the tables. The overhead lamps have perforated shades, creating a softer ambience to the dining room. In one corner, a banquet wall is lined with a pattern of wood log ends, a moose head, and opposing wooden spindles.

The other end of the room is papered in a dainty toile and matching striped banquette. We really, really love the different patterned throw pillows with the stripes...

A view of the faux fireplace: a cheeky display of vintage fireplace accessories with a television fire.

Close up of the wood log corner.

Textile wall hangings are arranged on the wall, pulled together by the warm reds and brown color scheme.
