Remember when way back in December we told you that Samin Nosrat would be collaborating with one of our favorite pottery companies, East Fork, to launch an exclusive tabletop collection? Well, folks, that day is finally here: Samin’s thoughtfully designed custom glaze for East Fork is available starting at 12pm ET today and ready to grace your table.

Called Pinto, East Fork describes the glaze as “a muted mauve that makes a really beautiful backdrop for food.” I got my hands on a Pinto-glazed Everyday bowl a few weeks ago, and I have to admit, it’s gorgeous! The color is a subtle brown with specks of graphite grey, yet it has a slight pink shimmer that makes it oh-so attractive. And like all East Fork pieces, the bowl has a sturdiness and heft that makes me think I’m going to be using it until I’m 80!

The collection also includes dinner plates, side plates, and cake plates; soup bowls, ice cream bowls, and teeny-tiny Bitty bowls; and sweet toddler cups and slightly larger juice cups. And if you’re a #themug collector, Pinto also appears on the brand’s iconic mug. As an added bonus, a portion of the profits will go towards a non-profit in Samin’s part of the world: Acta Non Verba, a youth urban farm project in Oakland, California, that works towards food justice and sovereignty. East Fork is also donating an additional 10 percent of the proceeds of a curated list of pantry and kitchen items carefully curated by Samin.

We’re pretty certain the collection will be flying off the shelves within minutes of going live, but if you can’t get one right away, don’t worry; East Fork says they plan to keep restocking the glaze through April. “We don’t anticipate our usual mad-dash sellouts that we often see with limited glaze releases.” Phew!

Personally, I’m taking no chances and heading to the site to complete my Pinto-themed collection. Mug, side plate, and Bitty bowl — you’re coming home with me! Okay fine, ice cream bowl, I’ll take you too …
