I found it incredibly difficult to select images of Sarah Cihat's work to feature because I wanted to share almost all of her pieces. From her lovely Rehab reglazed and redesigned dishes to her gorgeous porcelain lamps, Sarah's design talent is evident in almost everything she touches.

Sarah is fairly well-known for her popular Rehab line, which she developed as her thesis project at Parsons School of Design in New York. She wanted to bring new life to a product which was otherwise unwanted, so she developed a process of redesigning and reglazing unwanted dishes from thrift store and seconds piles. Her work turns drab dishware into exciting modern graphic pieces while still preserving their original delicate textures and patterns.

Additionally, Sarah has developed three other product lines: Dirt, which includes unexpected molded and sculted porcelain works; Taken, a collaboration with metalsmith Michael Miller includes ceramic pieces combined with fine metalwork, the two elements compliment each other perfectly; and F vs. S, a collaboration with Joya Studios, a creative collective specializing in fragrance. Sarah's contribution includes a limited edition of candles, perfume, scented candles, and fragrance diffuser sets in her porcelain pieces.

Sarah's pieces range from $35 to $150, a list of shops that carry her work can be found on

"Shipping dishes everywhere requires lots of cushion and packaging, so I use and reuse any and all packaging materials that I find- bubble wrap, foam, styrofoam, airpacks, anything really. Last week I cut up a styrofoam cooler to use for a big shipment I have going to LA this week. I just couldn't stand to throw it in the garbage, and the foam is great for packing around fragile dishes. I hope that whoever receives the shipment will also try to find a use for the packing materials as well."
